Abstract: | The morphology, anatomy and histology of the female internal genital organs of the adult damselfly Pseudagrion rubriceps Selys were studied in detail. The paired, long, panoistic ovaries each lead posteriorly into an oviduct. The oviducts unite to form a short common median oviduct leading into the "eighth complex" localized in the 8th abdominal segment. The "eighth complex" comprises the bursa copulatrix, spermatheca and vagina. A pair of prominent accessory reproductive glands, localized in the 9th segment, open into the vagina. |
